While we are excited to get back to doing what we do best - dancing! - there are a number of new protocols that are now in place to keep our dancers, families, and instructors safe. Below is the latest copy of our health and safety policies and procedures, but as our situation can change rapidly, please contact the studio for the most up-to-date information.
These protocols will be followed without exception and we ask that all dancers and families familiarize themselves with our policies and procedures before they arrive at the door. *NEW FOR FALL 2020: As of September 14th, face masks will be required for all dancers (resuable cloth masks preferred and strongly encouraged).* As always, the health and safety of our dancers, dance families, and instructors is our top priority. Our deep thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation!

I am excited to announce that our very own Jennifer Vartiainen, long-time dancer and teacher at the studio, has agreed to come on board as co-director. She has a wealth of experience as a dancer, teacher, choreographer and has always been an integral part of the Danceability family. Add to this Jenn’s degree in commerce from UBC’s Sauder School of Business and she is the perfect choice for this position.
Jennifer has already assumed responsibility for many classes this year, and is busy learning the day to day business side of the studio. You will have seen more of her in the past few months, and will be seeing even more of her in the months to come. She has always had a passion for dance, as all of you who have been to our shows over the years will have seen, and her classes are always very popular with the students. I am proud to have been her teacher and friend for many years, and have complete confidence in her ability to take on these new responsibilities. As we move forward, I look forward to the energy, creativity and passion that Jenn brings to our studio, and I know that you will all embrace her and support her as she settles in to her new position. As always, our focus is on the dancers and we will continue to give them our best, while encouraging them to reach for their dreams and grow both artistically and technically. I am still teaching, and will continue to, and the support of a co-director to share the responsibilities means that we can work together to offer our students even more opportunities and experiences. |
