Frequently Asked Questions
If you can't find the answer you're looking for below, contact us and we would be happy to answer any questions you have!
NEVER DANCED BEFORE?
We believe that everyone can dance, no matter their age or level of experience! We know it can be intimidating to try something new but we are committed to ensuring that each student has a fun and positive experience.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We don't have a formal dress code at our studio so feel free to wear comfortable clothing that you can move and stretch in. We just ask that clothing is not baggy (so we can see and correct body alignment), proper dance footwear is worn, and that long hair is pulled away from the face (a ponytail, bun, or braid is just fine!).
We encourage our youngest dancers to wear whatever inspires them. For some, this means a sparkly tutu, for others, it means leggings and a t-shirt. As long as they can dance in their outfits, we love it all!

WHICH CLASS SHOULD I TAKE?
A dancer's experience level is the best way to determine which class will be the best fit. Because each student progresses at their own pace, it's not uncommon for a dance class to have a range of ages. Give us a call and we will be happy to recommend a class for you!
HOW LONG IS THE DANCE SEASON?
Our dance season follows the school calendar and class runs continuously from September through June, ending with a recital performance. Dancers spend their year mastering new steps and technique and then incorporate their learning into a piece of choreography to be performed at the recital. Because of the progressive nature of classes, we ask that dancers be prepared to commit to the full 10 month season.
Our preschool program runs in 10-week modules throughout the school year with sessions running from September-December, January-March, and April-June.
We do our best to welcome students into our studio throughout the year so if you've missed fall registration, give us a call!

HOW MUCH DOES DANCE CLASS COST
Fees are dependent on how many classes you take and the length of each class. Once you have settled on your dance schedule, we will quote you a monthly rate for your fees. Tuition is calculated on a yearly basis and then split into 10 equal monthly payments. Tuition is due at the beginning of each month by e-transfer, cash, debit tap, or credit card (a user fee applies to each credit card transaction). There is also a registration fee payable with your first month's tuition.
Outside of that, you can expect a costume fee for our year end recital, with a deposit requested in the early spring and the final amount billed once costs have been finalized. We work extremely hard to keep these fees reasonable for all families.

WHAT ABOUT HOLIDAYS?
To ensure all classes have sufficient class time, we dance through many of the weekend/Monday holidays (what better way to celebrate?!). We close for winter break in December and again in March for one week of spring break (we dance through the other week). Any studio closures have been built into our fee structure which means your monthly tuition never changes. While most months have 4 weeks of class, some may have 5 weeks, and others may have 3 weeks...it all averages out and has been factored into your monthly amount.
WHAT IF I HAVE TO MISS CLASS?
We do not prorate fees for missed classes but where possible, students can make up the lesson(s) in another age/level appropriate class where space allows.
How much does it cost?
Our fees depend on the length of your class and the number of classes you take (we offer a 10% discount to dancers taking more than one class!) so contact us for our most up-to-date fee information. We can tell you that our fees are extremely reasonable...and that's on purpose! We want dance class to be as accessible to as many people as possible.
You can also expect a registration fee, payable at the time of sign up, which includes a discount on a pair of recital tickets. There is also a costume fee, with a deposit requested in the early new year and the balance billed once costs have been finalized (this means you are only being billed for what we purchase!).
Outside of that, dancers will need the appropriate dance shoes...and that's it! We don't have a formal dress code at our studio - dancers can wear what makes them comfortable and parents don't have to purchase class uniforms (a win-win!).
